February 2012 - Standing Stones

Last December, just before a big dumping of snow arrived in the south west of England causing travel chaos, we had a smaller covering across Dartmoor.

I spent the day travelling around the moor and stopping off at some of my favourite spots for photography.

Looking towards Great Staple Tor these standing stones make a great foreground as they represent the landscape of Dartmoor. A burst of sunlight from behind the clouds lit up the granite rocks beautifully.
